In my previous life I was a Personal Assistant for a number of multi-national companies but as I moved into my 30’s found a real passion for reading about health due to my own issues with eczema and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I retrained as a therapist in 1994 adding electrolysis in 1995 and set up my own business. I have been thriving and enjoying my work ever since.
It was a chance encounter with a kinesiologist, advice on taking Aloe Vera Juice and doing some de-stressing techniques that cleared up my IBS and led to me training as a kinesiologist in 1999. Since then I have been helping people all over the UK and abroad (hello, my Milanese client!) improve their health and state of mind as well as continuing to see clients regularly for their unwanted hair needs.
I am passionate about books and spend a lot of time reading and researching health topics including quantum physics. I also set up a children’s charity Book at Bedtime in 2010 which provides a bookcase full of donated children’s books into women’s refuges throughout the UK. We are always looking for volunteers to donate books and to raise funds so if you want to know more please click on the link above.
I am also a keen craftswoman and have recently shifted from making miniatures to sewing, something I used to do a lot when I really couldn’t find clothes that really fit! My current passion is making historical and vintage couture style clothes and also sewing cotton dresses for the orphans in Africa for the charity Dress a Girl Around the World. It is wonderful when you get to see the outfits you’ve made on a child thousands of miles away and to see the smiles on their faces. The yellow dress is one of mine!
