forgiveness

Read a brilliant bit this morning about forgiveness.  From the  Greek it apparently is more accurately translated as “untying the knot”.  Now doesn’t that have a wonderful image?

As I keep telling my clients forgiving someone or a group for something that they have done/you have perceived they have done is not condoning what was done – it is removing the emotional link between you and the other so that you can both move forward.  So next time you want to move on from a hurt see yourself untying that knot and let both ends separate and float free, then gather up your thread/rope and turn and walk away with a smile :>)
